Raid des Dentelles de Montmirail

This week-end I was (with my team mates Gauthier) on an adventure race around the Mont Ventoux.

The best french adventure teams was here. Great to see our performance level.

The weather was not good in south of France and it was very rainy, snowy and windy. Delicious :-D

The race start on saturday afternoon with : mtb 17.6 km, bike and run 8.6 km, mtb 2.6, trail running 7.0, mtb 12.0 km, rifle shooting and 1.2 km. Elevation gain : 1335 m.

Unfortunatly, the team abandon after 3 h 30 on race. Firstly, my team mates loose one grip on his bar (not very serious), then he lost their bolts on his rear brake lever (a little annoying) and finally he brakes two spokes on his rear wheel !!!

Very funny, no ?

After we repaired the brake, changed the grip and found a new rear wheel, we decided to start again on sunday morning. Just for fun :-)

Good thing for us because of our good shape on mountain bike and foot orienteering. We did our best on the first part of the day and after we joined our friends in a mixed team, we decided to stay with us until the end.

Sunday program : orienteering 3.0 km, mtb 5.0 km, orienteering 5.0 km, mtb 12.0 km, orienteering 15.0 km, mtb 18.0 km. Elavation gain : 2175 m.

This week-end was good for me, I was in good shape on my mountain bike and on orienteering too.
